Considered the gold standard for decades, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument has been utilized all over the world for assessing the diverse ways individuals perceive and process information. With over 10,000 published articles and references, the MBTI instrument offers a validated system of understanding and leveraging the unique contributions of personality type in individuals.

CDCS uses the MBTI assessment tool to help improve self awareness and increase understanding of their colleagues and co-workers. Through identifying leadership and interpersonal communication preferences, and by recognizing and respecting that everyone has a unique personality and communication style, team members and coworkers can adjust their work habits, skills and conversation to be more harmonious and productive in the office.

MBTI Step I Workshop

This workshop is the starting place for teams that are using the MBTI instrument for the first time together as a team.  This workshop utilizes the MBTI Step I Report, which provides participants with a report of their 4-letter MBTI personality type results. 

Team members complete the MBTI instrument on-line prior to the workshop and results are presented during the workshop.  Each participant will leave the workshop with an descriptive analysis of their personality type, and an 43 page booklet for continued learning about self and others.

MBTI Step II Workshop

Too often, the gap between type awareness and action is significant. Knowing your type and using that type to influence your world are two different matters. This workshop is designed for teams who have already used the MBTI instrument. Step II is for those who want to increasingly put type into action to influence their work environment, to navigate conflict more effectively, and for senior leadership teams wanting a deeper analysis of personality type results.

Team members complete the MBTI instrument on-line prior to the workshop, and results are presented during the workshop.  This workshop utilizes the MBTI Step II Report, which provides participants with a detailed report of their 4-letter personality type results and individualized results on 20 additional facets of their personality. 

Workshop topics include:

  • Reviewing MBTI Step I results & the MBTI Step II instrument
  • Reviewing individual MBTI Step II instrument results
  • Experiencing personality facet differences
  • Applying facet information to communicating, handling conflict, making decision, and dealing with change
